Bitwise Dogecoin ETF Faces Final Trading Day on October 14
BWOW holders face a confirmed closing timetable as the fund prepares to liquidate later in October.
Bitwise said in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing that October 14 is expected to be the final secondary-market trading day for its Dogecoin ETF. Remaining holders are due a cash distribution around October 22 based on the October 21 fund net asset value.
This is a fund-specific event and does not mean DOGE itself is being delisted from cryptocurrency exchanges. Holders should distinguish a DOGE token from brokerage shares in an exchange-traded product that tracks the token.
Investors should check their brokers for settlement arrangements and consult the issuer notice about deadlines. A fund wind-down can create trading and tax consequences; it does not by itself predict the underlying coin's next price move.
