Upscale AI, a startup backed by Nvidia, has introduced a networking platform called Token Fabric, according to Reuters. The product is designed to help data centres connect AI processors from multiple chip vendors rather than requiring operators to work within a single hardware ecosystem.
The announcement draws attention to a less visible constraint in the AI boom. Powerful chips are essential, but large clusters also depend on fast data movement, reliable networking and efficient communication between machines. As operators build more complex systems, integrating heterogeneous components becomes an engineering and cost challenge.
